Project Engineering at V2X Project Engineering is a specialized field within engineering that focuses on planning, managing, and executing projects. It combines technical expertise with project management skills to successfully achieve project objectives. The Advisory Project Engineer provides expert guidance on technical project execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures project success through strategic planning and technical leadership. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Leads technical estimation efforts for complex projects, ensuring accuracy in cost assessments, resource allocation, and schedule feasibility while driving competitive bids and proposal strategies.
- Drive project assessment and control strategies.
- Manage high-risk technical challenges and mitigation plans.
- Provide expert-level stakeholder communication and leadership.
- Oversee resource management and project execution optimization.
- Develop and implement technical management strategies across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Lead engineering efforts, including architecture definition, requirements management, and integration.
- Advise on supplier selection, contract negotiations, and technical compliance.
- Forecast future engineering staffing needs and optimize workload distribution to support engineering-wide resource planning.
- Contribute to the continuous development of the project engineering discipline through mentorship, training, and process improvements.
- Responsible for defining and improving technical project execution methodologies. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD secrect clearance (US Citizenship required). Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 8-12 years of engineering or project management experience.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and risk management tools. Technical Skills
- Expert understanding of
IEEE 15288, PMI
PMBOK, andISO 9001.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure, Jira, Windchill, and GitHub.
- Deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, software, or manufacturing engineering disciplines. Soft Skills
- Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking.
- Ability to influence project direction and mentor senior engineers. Level of Supervision
- Works independently; receives guidance only in the most complex situations.
