Position Summary:

The Supplier Engineered Equipment (SEE) Design Engineer will develop control system hardware requirements, then guide Rolls-Royce approved suppliers through the detailed design process to ensure that delivered hardware meets all technical and program requirements. The role will span the project lifecycle from requirements definition, concept development, detail component design, validation, and verification testing through final production release. The Design Engineer will interface with both the external suppliers and the internal engine program teams.

Be responsible for the development of Controls Hardware components, including oversight of the mechanical design and analysis of components, taking the design through multiple gated design reviews, and oversight of the validation testing performed by contracted suppliers of the Controls Units.

Drive coordination of effort between the design, purchasing, manufacturing engineering teams with our Controls Hardware suppliers to ensure that program needs are met through the execution of the work package to plan.

Ensure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain and schedule) are identified and managed in accordance with the risk management plan.

Engage in technical, manufacturing and supply chain issues and opportunities to enable quick decision making.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 1+ years of experience in mechanical design or control systems, ORMaster's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, ORJD/PhDTo be considered for this role, you must be a

US CitizenPreferred:

Desire to successfully lead in a team environment, establishing collaborative relationships with coworkers Experience with control systems hardware designExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI), change management, and risk management processesExperience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving techniquesKnowledge of RTCA/DO-160 and

MIL-STD-810
