Job Description
Structural Design EngineerAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to support both new and existing aftermarket business jet programs. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of structural components, assemblies, and installations for metallic and composite airframe applications. You will work closely with stress, fatigue, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative and reliable aerospace solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to high-performance aircraft modifications and upgrades. Key Responsibilities
+ Perform structural design and development of metallic and composite aircraft components, assemblies, and installations.
+ Create and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using
CATIA V5.
+ Develop precise aerodynamic loft surfaces using advanced parametric design techniques.
+ Collaborate closely with structural analysis, stress, fatigue, manufacturing, and certification teams.
+ Interpret and create engineering drawings, parts lists, and technical documentation.
+ Apply aerospace design principles, engineering theories, and industry best practices to solve technical challenges.
+ Utilize repair and maintenance documentation, including SRM, MM, IPC, and other technical publications.
+ Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and engineering presentations.
+ Support aircraft modification, repair, prototype, and production activities.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help drive engineering excellence. Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
+ Minimum 8 years of airframe structural design experience.
+ Minimum 5 years of
CATIA V5 3D CAD
experience.
+ Strong knowledge of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
+ Experience creating and defining aerospace composite designs in both 3D models and 2D drawings.
+ Strong blueprint interpretation skills and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Proficiency in generating parts lists and engineering documentation using company standards and templates.
+ Understanding of aerospace design, repair, maintenance, and certification practices.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment. Preferred Skills

+ Adobe Acrobat Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
