Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate job feasibility and support quoting for potential work Design tooling and fixtures, including layup tools, mill fixtures, lifting fixtures, and proof load fixtures Collaborate with customers to optimize designs and ensure requirements are met Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for internal and customer use Modify customer provided designs to improve manufacturability and resolve interferences Develop supplemental documentation such as work instructions, presentations, and extracted model data Provide technical support to toolmakers and production teams Review work in progress to ensure quality standards and alignment with project goals Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues and recommend solutions Communicate project updates, questions, and status clearly with internal teams and customers Participate in team and engineering meetings to support continuous improvement Maintain compliance with company quality systems and procedures Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required, additional technical training preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, aerospace machining, or a related field Proficiency in CAD software, CATIA preferred, and Microsoft Office Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and procedures Strong mathematical skills including fractions, decimals, and basic calculations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in aerospace or contract manufacturing environments Experience working with tooling and fixture design Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production support

Work Environment:

Office based role with collaboration across engineering, production, and customers Occasional time on the shop floor to support manufacturing and troubleshoot designs Fast paced, deadline driven environment with changing priorities
