- Join Us A manufacturing company, considered one of leading manufactures of wire in North America, is looking for a CAD Design Engineer CAD Design Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Systems/Manufacturing/Construction) We are looking for a candidate: With a strong background in design engineering and a desire to work in a TEAM environment with support and input from multiple angles that values safety above all else.
The Design Engineer Will:
Support project managers and other departments with design support. Provide the Mechanical Projects install team with design drawings as necessary, confirming that the end product meets design specifications. Maintain drawing records for facility. Includes management and maintenance of plant layout drawings. Operate a 3D scanner as needed for creating plant as-built drawings. Support Machine shop. Includes standardizing, updating and creating parts drawings, as well as supporting future CNC operations. Support the design needs for operations, safety and small projects.Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in CAD Design Engineering. Organizational and design engineering skills, along with effective communication skills. Experience in delivering designs on time.Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering degree (Bachelor's). Experience in the wire manufacturing industry. Has basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures relating to manufacturing equipment. Excellent computing and software skills including Autodesk software (2D and 3D) & Microsoft Office.
