Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support and continuously improve manufacturing processes across robotics, laser processing, wire forming, press operations, and robotic welding. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, cost and overall equipment effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on manufacturing experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering team members. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Engineering Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for automated and conventional production equipment. Provide engineering support for robotic cells, laser cutting, wire forming equipment, presses and robotic welding operations. Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvements in safety, quality, throughput, ergonomics and cost. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures. Establish process parameters and operating standards to ensure consistent and repeatable production. Support new product launches, equipment installations and productions ramp-ups. Robotics and Automation Support the programming, setup, troubleshooting and optimization of robotic manufacturing systems. Work with robotic automation, material handling, part transfer, fixturing, sensors, vision systems and automated production equipment. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve machine utilization. Assist with robotic cell design, commissioning, validation and process acceptance. Troubleshoot robotic equipment and coordinate with controls, maintenance, and equipment suppliers as required. Wire Forming, Laser Cutting and Press Operations Develop and optimize processes for wire forming, bending, cutting and press operations. Support tooling, fixtures, dies, and equipment improvements Analyze forming processes to reduce scrap, downtime, cycle time and quality issues. Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment and process problems Robotic Welding Support the development, implementation and optimization of robotic welding processes. Optimize welding parameters, fixturing, tooling, robot paths, and cycle times. Troubleshoot weld quality, distortion, dimensional issues and equipment problems. Work with welding personnel, quality, and maintenance to ensure processes meet customer and internal requirements. Support weld process validation and implementation of new robotic welding technology. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field. 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in an automated manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures and production equipment. Strong mechanical and analytical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation. Experience with CAD software Robotic programming experience including robotic welders Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering position requiring regular interaction with production equipment and manufacturing personnel. The engineer should be comfortable spending significant time on the production floor troubleshooting equipment, observing processes, implementing improvements, and supporting production.
Pay:
From $28.85 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
