Job Description:
I'm supporting a specialist manufacturing consultancy with the appointment of several Consultants and Senior Consultants into its US team. This is an opportunity for sExperienced strong process, manufacturing, chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineers to move into consulting and apply their technical capability across a much broader range of operational challenges. The work is focused on delivering measurable performance improvement within complex, large scale steady state manufacturing environments. typical projects..
  • Increasing yield, throughput, and production capacity
  • Reducing waste, scrap, downtime, and cycle time
  • Identifying process constraints and operational bottlenecks
  • Improving manufacturing efficiency and cost performance
  • Turning complex technical analysis into practical site-level action The business is hiring at two levels: Consultant level Typically suited to engineers with approximately 3 to 6years of relevant industry experience who have developed strong technical foundations and can demonstrate ownership of meaningful improvement work.
Senior Consultant level Typically suited to professionals with 6+ years of experience who can lead project workstreams, influence senior stakeholders, mentor less experienced colleagues, and take responsibility for delivering results on client sites. Across both levels, they are looking for:
  • A degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience within process-heavy technically complex manufacturing environments
  • Evidence of solving difficult operational or manufacturing problems
  • Quantifiable impact across yield, throughput, capacity, quality, waste, cost, or cycle time
  • The communication skills and professional credibility to work directly with clients
  • The ability to operate at pace, adapt quickly, and take ownership These are not office-based advisory positions.
Consultants are expected to spend four days each week on a client sites and this is a non-negotiable part of the role. Candidates must also be willing to relocate to the Boston area. (negotiable at the more senior end) This is not a position for new graduates or engineers with less than 2 years commercial experience in large volume steady state manufacturing facilities In return, you will join a business that can define the direction of your career.
