Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This role will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product launches, optimize tooling and equipment, and provide hands-on engineering support to production operations. Responsibilities Include Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production workflows. Design, implement, and validate tooling, fixtures, gauges, and production equipment. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap, downtime, cycle times, and production costs. Support new product launches through process development, validation, and quality planning activities. Analyze production data, process capability, and throughput to identify improvement opportunities. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and engineering support for production, tooling, and equipment issues. Lead equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and process qualification activities. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tooling teams to improve product quality and process performance. Maintain engineering documentation, including routings, process specifications, drawings, and BOMs. Support automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and environmental regulations. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process improvement, and new product launches. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, and process validation is preferred. Strong troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $62.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
