Learn more about our products and history at TextronSystems.com. About This Role A Day in the Life of aManufacturing Engineer II:
- Support development and improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for fabrication and assembly of detail parts and end ‑ item products.
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot build issues, resolve manufacturing problems, and support day ‑ to ‑ day operations.
- Assist with creation and updates of work instructions, standard work, and basic tooling concepts.
- Participate in design reviews to provide basic Design ‑ for ‑ Manufacturability input and ensure producibility of engineering changes.
- Support documentation updates, routing creation, and maintenance of configuration ‑ controlled manufacturing packages.
- Contribute to root ‑ cause investigations and corrective action activities for routine production issues.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and schematics to identify manufacturing requirements.
- Assist with Manufacturing Engineering tasks during Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings or other cross ‑ functional engagements.
- Conduct time studies, workflow observations, and other basic analysis to improve quality, efficiency, or cost.
- Help evaluate new equipment, tools, or manufacturing technologies and provide recommendations to senior engineers
Qualifications Qualifications What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience supporting manufacturing operations, preferably within aerospace or defense environments.
- Working knowledge of basic manufacturing processes such as electro ‑ mechanical assembly, cable/harness assembly, and precision machining.
- Experience with CAD tools such as NX, CREO, or SolidWorks; ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Familiarity with Lean principles, root ‑ cause analysis, and other foundational problem ‑ solving methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle or similar.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.
