Job Description Develop innovative solutions to complex manufacturing and process engineering challenges. Create and implement manufacturing process plans, including cost analysis and machine capacity assessments. Collaborate with product engineering, quality, and operations teams to support new and existing products. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and other operational excellence methodologies. Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability, quality, and efficiency. Establish and validate manufacturing processes through testing, process capability studies, and data analysis. Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques. Evaluate capital equipment investments and develop business cases for new equipment and process improvements. Design and support implementation of new manufacturing equipment, automation solutions, and process modifications. Identify and execute initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering procedures. Analyze production routing, workflow sequencing, and manufacturing operations for optimization opportunities. Serve as a technical liaison between manufacturing, product engineering, tooling, quality, and other support functions. Partner with customers regarding manufacturability, process capability, dimensional performance, and quality requirements. Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams. Manage and continuously improve the PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) process. Mentor team members and share technical expertise across the organization. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical/scientific discipline. 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a precision machining or high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience with grinding, turning, honing, and milling processes preferred. Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process development, and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with automotive quality systems, ISO and IATF standards, and advanced problem-solving tools. Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, and data-driven decision making. Proficiency in statistical methods, root cause analysis, and manufacturing data analysis. Ability to independently evaluate technical challenges and implement effective solutions. Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information to cross-functional teams and leadership. What's on
