Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality. This role involves working closely with our skilled technicians to produce axles and pins using CNC machines. Responsibilities Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. Design and implement new processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to understand product requirements. Conduct research and tests on product designs and manufacturing processes. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for simulation and process design. Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures. Train staff on new processes, providing guidance and feedback. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations. Prepare reports and present results to management and other stakeholders. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the machining industry (specifically, CNC machines or stamping machines). Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus. Work Environment The role involves spending 50% of the time working in the manufacturing area ensuring parts meet quality and specifications, and the other 50% working within an office setting. The work environment includes modern facilities with advanced CNC machining technologies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corunna, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
