Come join our team and help us transition into a brand new, state of the art, climate-controlled manufacturing facility! We are hiring for the position of CNC Manufacturing Engineer. The successful candidate will have strengths in both management and in CNC programming and set up for Miyano bar lathes and Hanwha Swiss lathes. This is a hands-on, leadership position, assisting the Director of Manufacturing and being a part of the team that supports and guides the transition and growth of Fairlane. Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will have:- Extensive experience in the setup and programming of production bar lathes and Swiss lathes.
- Excellent leadership and work-flow organization abilities
- Extensive experience in multi-axis CNC programming using CAM software.
- Experience in workholding and fixture design for production environments.
- Developing CNC machine programs and processes for precision manufacturing of new product releases, engineering changes, and R D
- Develop tooling solutions, machining methods and provide technical support to setup machinists
- Review technical blueprints, writing 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC programs, program validation, workholding and fixturing design, work instruction development, machine process routing development, design review support, and the continuous improvement of machining processes
- Program for a variety of machine tools including brand new Miyano lathes and Hanwha swiss lathes.
- Create macros for family-based CNC programs
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality Job Qualifications
- Exceptionally strong CAD CAM sofware and CNC programming abilities
- Min. 3 years experience programming multi-axis bar fed lathes in a production machining environment.
- 3 years experience in the position of Senior Machinist/Programmer or similar
- 5 years experience in a CNC manufacturing environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principles
- Leadership mentality and the desire for continuous improvement
- Strong experience with GD&T and Form-Fit-Function principles Compensation
