Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialized fire protection products and components used in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure applications. With a long history of manufacturing excellence, the company continues to invest in its production capabilities, engineering processes, and manufacturing technology. Due to continued business growth, increased production volumes, and ongoing investment in manufacturing operations, they are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the development, improvement, and implementation of manufacturing processes for products including sprinkler and valve components. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve efficiency, resolve manufacturing issues, and support new equipment, tooling, and process implementation. Responsibilities Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes for sprinkler and valve components and related products. Analyze manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost. Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for production equipment and manufacturing processes. Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for manufacturing and production issues. Support the specification, quoting, purchase, installation, and runoff of capital equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA's, Control Plans, and Standard Work Instructions. Develop and modify equipment, tooling, and gage drawings as required. Support new product introductions, engineering changes, equipment installations, and process launches. Evaluate production equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation to identify opportunities for improvement. Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and optimize processes. Work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement process improvements. Assist with the development and implementation of automation, robotics, and other manufacturing technologies. Provide technical support and training to production personnel as required. Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Must Have a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideally three plus (3+) years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience. Previous experience working as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or in a closely related engineering role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and automation. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of GD&T, datum dimensioning, and tolerance stack-ups. Experience with CAD software and engineering drawings. Experience developing PFMEA's, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Standard Work Instructions. Knowledge of CNC machining, stamping, robotics, automation, and other industrial manufacturing processes preferred. Experience supporting capital equipment specification, quoting, purchasing, installation, and runoff preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively within a cross-functional manufacturing team. Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
