Location:
Zeeland, MI Relocation Assistance available for out-of area candidates Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, new product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys improving processes, solving production challenges, and driving operational efficiency on the plant floor. The Manufacturing Engineer will support equipment implementation, process optimization, troubleshooting, quality initiatives, and cost reduction efforts while partnering closely with production and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Support new product launches and manufacturing process implementation Design, install, and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures Troubleshoot production and manufacturing process issues Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, including 8D activities Improve manufacturing flow, efficiency, and productivity using continuous improvement methods Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce waste and lower costs Perform DOE analysis and process optimization activities Support project timelines, equipment implementation, and process improvements Assist with work instructions, quality procedures, and manufacturing standards Ensure compliance with quality systems and manufacturing requirements Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field Manufacturing engineering experience within automotive or high-volume manufacturing Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and process improvement Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methods Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing standards Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting automated manufacturing environments Exposure to APQP, PFMEA, and control plans Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience Experience with process optimization and production efficiency initiatives Titles Encouraged to Apply Manufacturing Engineer Process Engineer Production Engineer Industrial Engineer Continuous Improvement Engineer Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Launch Engineer Why Apply?
