Job Description

Comprehend requirements identifying product information, production rates, assembly requirements, and key customer contacts as input to process development. Develop manufacturing strategy for new programs requiring new equipment, processes, or retooling. Define process, tooling requirements as inputs to controls, IT, and tooling groups to procure tooling and equipment. Support manufacturing inputs to quoting efforts including tech reviews. Collaborate with program team on plant and process layout. Engage in design reviews to ensure process requirements are met. Develop work instructions through process development. Develop manual operation and repair processes. Prepare Core Team with training and support. Integrate new production line and validate deliverables including throughput and direct labor. Responsible for manufacturing issue resolution. Optimize Android Operation value streams (Sequencing, subassembly, assembly). Work with Material Flow Engineers to plan and optimize material flow. Work with Industrial Engineer to use work element standards and minimize non-value added labor. Evaluate equipment/machines at run-off ensuring requirements and deliverables are met. Identify
MTBF/MTTR
issues and drive to closure. Develop processes to maximize available time. Collaborate with Plant Teams to drive lessons learned, best practices, and plant goals into standards and production processes. Maintain process integrity by developing and updating procedures, methods, and guidelines. Drive change management process to capture changes and evaluate cost impacts. Interface with customer to define change requirements and obtain inputs to execute customer-driven changes. Lead continuous improvement activities for elimination of waste, scrap/rework reduction, direct labor reduction, quality, and reliability. Collaborate with Quality Team to develop PFMEA and Control Plan as input to process development to ensure robust manufacturing system. Promote health and safety from process development through program end. Complete ergonomic assessments within process development and equipment design.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
None.
Experience:
Three (3) years in the position above, as a Manufacturing Engineer Coordinator or a related role.
Experience must include:
1. GD&T Process Diagrams, AutoCAD and Control Plans;2. IATF Quality Systems;3. Flow Diagram, PFMEA, SWS, PVS, Visual AID) and ensure training for all production levels.
