Job Summary Provide single point technical contact on engineering and technical topics and issues. Direct reports may include product engineers and designers. Main Responsibilities Understand customer engineering organization, and build relationships with engineering and technology key "decision makers". Understand customer product issues and opportunities for product improvements. Ensure OEM engineering groups understand technical and manufacturing capabilities. Support teams with program specific issues. Inform customer engineering leadership of significant launch or production related issues ("no surprises"). Provide single contact point to OEM engineering. Provides Leadership to his Group following the YFAI leadership expectation model Prepares strategic decisions Plan resources and budgets Communicates with peer engineering managers and shares best business practices Leads group of lead engineers and engineers / technicians to develop a multi part product (system) or multi step processes to a set of requirements defined by "customer". Responsible for using all YFAI standards and systems (BOS, PLUS, Lean, CPP, CMP, EPIC, BEP)
Specific Requirements:
Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Work Experience Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Jenoptik laser weakening vibration welding flame treat robotic sewing press lamination ABB, Fanuc, and Kuka robots IMGL and IMGS vac forming auto edge folding sonic welding heat stake welding robotic spray paint
