Whitehall, MI Hands-on engineering position supporting manufacturing equipment, automation, and production processes Background Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another technical/engineering discipline . Manufacturing Engineering experience within an industrial or automotive environment. PLC experience required. Experience working with Allen-Bradley and Siemens controls . Robotics experience required. Strong understanding of automated manufacturing equipment and production processes. Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and process issues. Ability to identify and implement improvements related to quality, productivity, uptime, and cost. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams. Job Responsibilities Provide hands-on Manufacturing Engineering support to production operations. Support, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing equipment and processes. Work with PLCs, robotics, controls, and other automated production systems . Identify root causes of manufacturing and equipment issues and implement permanent corrective actions. Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, quality, reliability, and equipment uptime. Support new equipment installation, integration, commissioning, and production launches. Work closely with Maintenance and Production personnel to resolve equipment and process issues. Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and technical documentation. Evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend equipment, tooling, automation, and process improvements. Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives. Participate in cross-functional problem-solving activities with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance.
