Job Description
  • Support plant engineers with all facets of project work - from ideation through implementation.
  • Utilize manufacturing process knowledge to deliver efficient and optimized processes regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint.
  • Work in a mix of leadership and support roles (project specific) to oversee equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the production teams.
  • Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.
  • Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.
  • Interface with subject matter experts to coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging.
  • Support Engineering Documentation updates as needed - Process Sheets, PFMEA, DCP, OIS-JSA, Visual Aids, etc.
  • Help with Project Management of individual projects, as well as larger groups of projects, to support report-outs to leadership
  • Travel should be minimal - possibly some local travel to local vendor sites for meetings and runoff efforts.
Compensation:
$40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.   •  Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  •  2+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience.
  •  Previous engineering launch experience, purchasing equipment, running off equipment etc.
  •  Experience gathering quotes, doing change forms
  •  Running off and launching equipment (capability studies, gage R&R's, ergonomic studies)
  •  Strong Project Management experience, managing timelines, budgets, hold supplier accountable etc.
  •  Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma
  •  Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team (needs to be self-starter and good personality)
  •  Strong organization skills with the ability to handle complex projects with multiple objectives
  •  Gear machining experience
