About Indicon:
Indicon specializes in state-of-the-art Controls Design. Our areas of expertise include Conveyor Controls, Tooling Controls, Controls, Vision System Integration, an UL Certified Control Purpose Responsible for the purchase and/or lease of Electrical Controls materials and equipment, facility equipment and materials. Reports to Director of Purchasing & VP of Operations Vacancy Status Local Candidates Only Position Type Full-Time FLSA Status Non-Exempt Essential Job Functions Prepare written inquires or obtain verbal or written quotes for vendor supplied items and subcontracts in compliance with requisitions and/or specifications. Receive vendor bids, evaluate bids considering price, delivery date, past performance of vendor, etc. to determine successful bidder. Negotiate terms / conditions of and place purchase orders. Negotiate and issue purchase change orders. Expedite awarded purchase orders when necessary to insure timely delivery. When required, handle third party rental contracts and awards, renewals and termination's. Maintain files and chart all rental orders. Coordinate invoice problems with vendor and accounting; delivery requirements with vendor. Qualify requirements with project managers as appropriate. Prepare all required documentation for each purchase order. Track minority purchasing requirements and fill out appropriate forms where required. Establish / maintain working contact with vendors. Meet with sales and vendor representatives as required. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Obtain catalog submittal drawings for materials to be purchased where required. Requirements Minimum two years purchasing experience. Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, products, accounting and business contract laws required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Essential Physical Abilities Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
Education/Experience Required:
Prior Purchasing experience Microsoft Office Proficient High School Diploma Highly Organized Ability to Multitask Working Environment Ability to Travel 0% - 10% of the time Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer Frequently communicates with employees and customers
