Onsite | Manufacturing Environment Position Overview A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support operational excellence initiatives and drive continuous improvement across production facilities. This role will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, supporting quality initiatives, and implementing Lean manufacturing principles within a fast-paced production environment. The position offers strong exposure to operations leadership and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on manufacturing performance, process flow, and plant productivity. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput. Support the development and implementation of process improvements, tooling enhancements, and manufacturing best practices. Analyze production operations, equipment layouts, and space utilization to improve plant performance and reduce waste. Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, supply chain, and maintenance, to support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with process validation, testing methods, and production standards to ensure product quality and consistency. Support cost analysis related to labor, materials, and production efficiencies. Participate in capital equipment evaluations and work with external vendors on manufacturing solutions. Develop reporting and performance metrics related to manufacturing operations and process improvements. Provide training and support to production personnel during the implementation of new processes or operational changes. Maintain documentation and communicate project updates across departments and leadership teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical discipline. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience strongly preferred. Exposure to process improvement, plant operations, quality systems, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred. Experience within industrial, construction materials, building products, or related manufacturing industries is a plus. Desired Background Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively in both hands-on production settings and collaborative team environments. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Proficiency with manufacturing technologies, operational systems, and process improvement methodologies. Additional Information Reports directly to plant leadership. Opportunity for long-term growth and visibility within the organization.
