Description

• Interpret print and models, create CNC programs and set up machines to produce the component for Swiss or Milling machine centers
• Select cutting tools that will achieve cost effective tool life and fully utilize the tool
• Develop a process that is capable, cost effective and sustainable
• Write work instructions and procedures to support the process
• Full understanding of G-code
• Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles
• Assess and communicate technical specifications to all departments
• Identify and complete continuous improvement projects (Cycle time reduction & Perishable tooling selection and cost reduction)
• Create and coordinate engineering tests
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance
• Assist/or develop in the development of tool design and CNC programming
• Modify through change control, BOM/BOO within the ERP system
• Assist with all costing and quoting functions

• Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAN structure

Additional Skills & Qualifications Required Qualifications:

• 2•3 years of experience in technical field•Experience with CAD and CAM software•preferably Solid works, NX and Esprit•Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment, especially word and excel•Effective written and verbal communication skills•Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts
• Experience in a precision manufacturing shop environment
• LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application
• Experience working within an

ISO 13485
