Type:

full-time Manufacturing Engineer The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting production in the plant and will report to the Plant Engineering Manager. The role will work both independently and as a part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing. In addition, this role will function as a specialist and subject matter expert for technical planning throughout the facility. Responsibilities Develops, improves, and monitors standards, processes, and performance to reduce costs and improve production operations Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, and drive safety, quality, throughput, and cost savings initiatives Provides objective, functional, and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures to site management. Supports installation and implementation of capital expenditures. Develop and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions Provides lean manufacturing guidance to operations through coordination with the site Lean Manager Investigate production issues using a systematic approach to root cause and corrective actions (8D problem solving methodology) Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or Associates degree in a technical field with equivalent technical experience Previous experience with or exposure to the welding process is beneficial Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts Experience within a lean manufacturing environment preferred Proven 8D, 5Y, or relevant problem-solving methodology
