Boeing is seeking a Senior or Experienced Mechanism Design Engineer to support a Next Generation Cruise Missile program in St. Louis, MO . This program will require individuals who excel at interdisciplinary collaboration and systems thinking. The Next Generation Cruise Missile program seeks to provide new capabilities rapidly, through prototyping, to operate in unique environments with emphasis on safety, security and reliability. The program will also require collaboration and coordination to meet the requirements for multiple stakeholders BDS Phantom Works programs, develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position Responsibilities Support the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups Perform and document system performance using computational analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations Contribute to supplier development, test and production activates and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems Support system components' design/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences) 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g. NX, Catia, CADD) Experience with mechanism /kinematic design This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): (Level 4): 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Experience with Unigraphics (UG) The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation
