Design Engineer Material Handling & Automation Systems Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work on large-scale automation, conveyor, robotics, and material handling projects across some of the nation's leading manufacturing and distribution facilities? We are seeking a Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering team that designs and integrates custom automation and material handling solutions. Life:

Participate in equipment design, troubleshooting, installation support, startup activities, and as-built documentation. What You'll Be Doing

+ Create and modify mechanical equipment designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

+ Develop 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation packages.

+ Collaborate with Automation, Controls, and Commissioning teams on system layouts and customer solutions.

+ Support custom material handling and automation projects from concept through deployment.

+ Perform basic engineering calculations and design analysis.

+ Troubleshoot equipment and update drawings to reflect as-built field conditions.

+ Create manuals, maintenance documentation, and technical reports.

+ Research new components, materials, and technologies for future projects.

+ Support installation, startup, and post-launch engineering activities as needed. What We're Looking For

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.

+ SolidWorks experience required.

+ AutoCAD experience preferred.

+ Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting abilities.

+ Ability to create fabrication, welding, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.

+ Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

+ Experience supporting manufacturing, automation, material handling, industrial equipment, or custom machinery projects is highly preferred. What Makes This Different? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
