Responsible for safe and effective rocket engine test and assembly of the RS-25 engine. This position works in concert with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to ensure the successful testing of L3Harris products. Essential Functions:
Supports the assembly, test, and verification of rocket engine components. Conducts leak checks, inspections, and other engine related tasks. Creates and maintains check sheets for work performed by technicians. Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects. Works under general supervision. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strength in teaming and collaboration.
