Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is working with an established industrial equipment manufacturer in the Clayton area to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer who will connect product engineering with day-to-day factory execution. This role will influence how engineered products move from design release into safe, repeatable, cost-effective production while improving quality, delivery, and productivity across the operation. The ideal candidate brings practical experience in metal fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing data management. This engineer will review drawings and 3D models for manufacturability, build and maintain routings and BOMs, establish labor and process standards, support ERP accuracy, and use CAD and Excel-based analysis to remove waste and strengthen shop-floor performance. Responsibilities Evaluate engineering drawings and 2D/3D models before release, identifying manufacturing risk, unnecessary cost, difficult tolerances, and process constraints. Partner with design and operations teams to improve fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, inspection, materials, tooling, fixtures, and component standardization. Create and maintain accurate manufacturing routings, bills of material, work instructions, labor standards, work-center assignments, and setup/run times. Maintain ERP manufacturing data that supports planning, purchasing, scheduling, costing, capacity management, and reliable shop-floor execution. Analyze workflows, make-versus-buy options, bottlenecks, material flow, rework, scrap, and other cost or throughput opportunities. Lead practical continuous-improvement and administrative-automation efforts while communicating issues through clear, solution-oriented recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Three to five or more years of manufacturing experience supporting fabrication, CNC machining, welding, sheet metal, laser cutting, and mechanical assembly operations. Demonstrated experience developing production routings, labor standards, BOMs, work instructions, and maintaining manufacturing ERP records; Infor XA is preferred. Strong ability to interpret and troubleshoot 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models; Autodesk Inventor or similar software is preferred. Advanced Excel capability for formulas, pivot tables, reporting, data analysis, and manufacturing metrics, with sound judgment around capacity, cost, and process performance. Clear written and verbal communication, practical problem solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, planning, and service teams. #accentuate2
