Job Description

#ENG-IT-01 Job Summary Senior IMS Engineer responsible for the design, deployment, and support of manufacturing and data systems. This role is pivotal in introducing new automation equipment, integrating systems, improving processes, and driving cost-reduction initiatives across global manufacturing sites. Responsibilities Design, document, implement, and maintain essential Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for automated manufacturing equipment and manual processes. Interface automated and manual manufacturing equipment with plant information systems (MES) and enterprise data platforms. Provide technical guidance and expertise related to SCADA and manufacturing data systems to ensure operational reliability, cybersecurity, and data integrity. Collaborate with automation equipment vendors to design and document equipment interface specifications. Gather and document feedback from manufacturing sites to include in system design and continuous improvement. Work with Process Engineering to determine and provide process data to data historians at appropriate time intervals. Execute project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision. Work Hours Traditionally Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Must be flexible and available to work some after-hours and weekends, as required to support operational requirements. Travel Requirements Up to 50% travel, including international travel to locations such as Mexico, Poland, and China. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent. 5 years of experience in SCADA development (Ignition, Client iFix, or similar), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL). 3 years of experience integrating automated and manual manufacturing equipment with plant Information Management Systems (IMS). 1 year of experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, etc.). Ability to travel globally. Desired Skills Advanced experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective, Vision, scripting). Ignition Gold certification. Experience configuring Aveva PI System (Asset Framework, Event Frames, PI Vision), and with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLCs. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
