SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties: Analyzes and drafts equipment design changes or new designs as required for Camfil Washington/Greenville Products and general support for production personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary for the position. Analyzes specifications and performance requirements to determine design and/or design changes needed to meet customer order requirements. Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations. Clarify or resolve problems and develop design changes to increase product performance or production efficiency. Prepares all associated documents, detailed drawings/schematics for customers and manufacturing. Confers with other engineering / production personnel and prepares design modifications as required. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Engineering. 2 years of related experience preferred. Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD Design Software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and etc.). Must have above average reading comprehension, writing and oral communication skills. Interaction with customers requires strong professional etiquette. Technical math required. Must have strong reasoning ability. Requires an organized approach to working, task prioritization and time management. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
