- Bonus package eligible_ Our client, a leader in advanced composite manufacturing for aerospace and defense, is seeking a Materials & Process Development Team Lead to join their innovative team.
As a Materials & Process Development Team Lead, you will be part of the Research and Technology department supporting engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.
- What's the Job?
- + Lead a team of engineers responsible for planning, organizing, and executing internal and customer-funded research and technology projects focused on fiber reinforced composites.
+ Oversee the development and improvement of composite manufacturing processes, including injection, infusion, and CMC processing techniques.
+ Support the introduction of new composite products, processes, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
+ Manage procurement of tooling and equipment necessary for advanced composite manufacturing.
+ Coordinate material characterization activities through fabrication and testing of composite elements and sub-components.
- What's Needed?
- + 7+ years of experience in composite engineering or a related field; advanced degrees can substitute for experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for polymer matrix composites.
+ Experience with aerospace materials and structures, especially injection and infusion methods.
+ Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) and project management tools.
