Job Description

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Biomedical, or related field)
Required Skills:
  • Engineering experience supporting capital equipment, manufacturing, equipment implementation, or engineering improvement projects; internships/co-ops considered.
  • Hands-on experience supporting equipment installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, qualification, validation, and production release in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating technical execution across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Automation, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers.
  • Experience supporting medical device, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments, with strong understanding of quality and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project-based work.
  • Experience working in a team environment through school projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, automation, or robotics.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, or other project management tools.
Overview:
The Senior Project Engineer independently leads engineering implementation activities for strategic capital and manufacturing projects from planning through qualification and release. The role coordinates technical integration across equipment, automation, manufacturing, quality, and facilities while ensuring solutions are successfully implemented into production.

Senior Project Engineer -
Capital Equipment & Manufacturing Engineering:
  • Engineering execution, manufacturing integration, change control and documentation, qualification/release readiness and technical problem solving.
  • The Senior Project Engineer partners closely with Project Managers, Equipment SMEs, Programmers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
  • The SR Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution of capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects from concept through production release.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and external equipment suppliers, this role ensures projects are delivered on schedule while meeting safety, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Support Project Managers in the execution of capital projects by coordinating project activities, tracking action items, and communicating with cross-functional teams.
  • Attend project meetings, assist with equipment installations, FAT/SAT and validation activities, work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and maintain project documentation.
  • The role will involve spending time both in the office and on the manufacturing floor while learning the project lifecycle and progressively taking ownership of project tasks.
