This role reports into EDS, an Ellsworth Corporation company located in Sparks, NV. This is an on-site role, and candidates must be able to reliably commute to the facility in Sparks, NV. Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Field Service Technician opportunity at Ellsworth Dispensing Solutions, located in Sparks, NV. This role develops and optimizes manufacturing processes and systems for assigned Business Unit(s), including package design, equipment qualification and layout, workflow and workforce utilization. It also supports production team by sharing technical expertise, providing guidance and mentorship. Responsibilities Evaluates manufacturing processes and workflows for a Business Unit(s) to improve quality, efficiencies and reduce costs Leads continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiencies, and reduce costs Regularly provides guidance, training, and technical support to the Production Team and third-party packaging suppliers Provides support to Quality Department in manufacturing-related quality issues to determine root causes and take corrective actions Estimates labor costs or standard production rates to quoting and improve processes where labor variances are identified Performs manufacturing qualification on new, replacement or alternative components Facilitates design of customer packaging solutions with both internal and external customers Researches, recommends and qualifies new manufacturing equipment, layout, workflow and workforce utilization Determines equipment, parts and tools needed for production
