K-TECHnologies offers a fast pace, rewarding experience with project opportunities in high technology industries including space, defense, rail and aviation. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership in the development, implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes throughout the organization. This position leads cross-functional initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost while supporting the successful introduction and production of high-reliability electronic and electromechanical products. The Manufacturing Engineer serves as a key technical resource for production personnel, engineering, quality, supply chain, and program management. The successful candidate will demonstrate a hands-on leadership style, strong manufacturing judgment, and a proven ability to translate operational challenges into measurable and sustainable procces improvements. Develop documentation and procedures to support all operations functions. Design, construction, and/or modification to existing fixtures and machinery. Drive continuous improvement across all processes. Customer drawing interpretation, BOM and process development for quoting new and existing work. New production introduction; process development, tool selection, facility layout, etc. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment and be a self-starter, efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent tasks.
Manage capital projects:
project definition, contractor quoting and selection, project execution and bring up. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering and 1-5 years related work experience. Experience with lean and six sigma concepts. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs. Familiarity with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Aerospace, Space, and Defense. Familiarity with AS9100, Nadcap, ITAR, IPC 610, 620, J-STD-001. Familiarity with coil winding, magnetics, and electrical testing.
