Senior Chemical Engineer Location:
Little Falls, NY Compensation:
$90,000 to $170,000 per year A growing products manufacturer in Little Falls, New York is hiring a Senior Chemical Engineer to take ownership of the company's urethane chemistry and laboratory function. This role works directly with production to improve existing processes and develop next-generation material systems, combining hands-on laboratory work with formulation development and manufacturing support. Schedule Full-time, on-site in Little Falls, NY. Compensation $90,000 to $170,000 per year, based on experience. What You'll Do The Senior Chemical Engineer evaluates and optimizes existing urethane formulations and processing systems to improve repeatability, predictability, quality, and manufacturing performance. The role leads laboratory testing and validation of incoming raw materials before production use, utilizing lab equipment that mirrors the production process to identify and resolve material and processing issues. Responsibilities include developing next-generation urethane material systems and formulations to support new products and company growth, providing ongoing technical and process support to manufacturing, and identifying formulation and process improvements that reduce cycle times and increase output. The engineer also supports raw material sourcing and qualification efforts to establish secondary sources for critical materials, working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and company leadership to implement material and process improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering 3 or more years of experience working with urethane formulation and/or processing Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment Strong hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Elastomer experience Experience with raw material suppliers, technical sales, or chemical distribution 8 or more years of urethane formulation and/or processing experience Compensation and Benefits $90,000 to $170,000 per year, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Paid time off To apply, submit your resume detailing your urethane formulation and manufacturing engineering experience.
