Design Engineer ARBR Studios LLC Rochester, NY Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $75,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications CNC programming Customer communication Customer service Architecture English Interior Design Attention to detail Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Well established luxury millwork and furniture manufacturer in Rochester, NY is seeking an experienced, motivated Design Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD and/or Inventor with willingness to learn. Experience in millwork, home construction, or furniture industry is required.
Responsibilities:
Creating accurate Inventor and CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits. Detail technical millwork /furniture designs in Inventor / AutoCAD for a number of different environments. Seamlessly integrating and working with clients, design consultants, and GC's, to produce and alter drawings. An understanding of interior high-end architectural construction documents and detailing. Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work. Adhere to a defined system for archiving sketches and drawings on our server; keeping the projects and the server organized at all times; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made. Learn and understand our products to compile Bills of Material (BOM) as required. Interact, collaborate, and converse with high profile accounts and clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service, professionalism, and discretion at all times. Take ownership and responsibility for assigned projects from start to completion over several weeks and months, facilitating organized information flow at all times; from customer to down-stream company departments.
Knowledge and Skills required:
Bachelor's degree in one or more of the following: Architecture/Interior Design/Industrial Design/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering Experience in Inventor and/or AutoCAD Experience in residential millwork or furniture industry Inventor experience desired (or ability to learn quickly) Familiarity with CNC programming and understanding of BOMs Work independently and as part of our project management and engineering team Must be well organized, with attention to detail Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Must be willing to adapt drawing style & presentation to company standards Proficiency with Windows, Office, Word, and Excel preferred
