As we grow, we are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to help develop new products, improve our machining processes, and build smarter, more automated production systems. This is not a traditional desk engineering role. You will work directly with CNC machines, CAD/CAM, tooling, electronics, software, and our production team to turn ideas into reliable manufacturing processes. What You'll Do Your role will combine CNC manufacturing, product development, process improvement, and automation. Design custom rings and components using CAD Create CAM programs and program CNC lathes for custom and new products Develop tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machining processes Set up, prove out, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs Improve feeds, speeds, cycle times, quality, and process reliability Take new designs from concept through prototype and production Develop and improve production stations and equipment Automate manual manufacturing processes Integrate lasers, scanners, cameras, sensors, motors, and other equipment Build solutions using Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, PLCs, or similar hardware Use software, networking, APIs, and AI tools to improve manufacturing systems Own technical projects from problem identification through implementation and ongoing support Once a process is established and repeatable, production operators can take over routine machine operation. Your focus will remain on developing, improving, and troubleshooting the process. Who We're Looking For You may come from manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, machining, mechatronics, robotics, mechanical engineering, automation, or a similar technical background. Experience with several of the following is valuable: CNC lathe programming and G-code Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM software CNC setup, tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds CAD and mechanical design Precision machining and prototyping Robotics or industrial automation Raspberry Pi, Arduino, PLCs, sensors, motors, or controls Python, networking, APIs, or internal software tools AI-assisted coding and development tools You do not need to know everything on day one. We care more about someone who can understand a problem, learn what is needed, build a practical solution, and take ownership of making sure it works reliably. A bachelor's degree is welcome but not required. Associate degrees, technical programs, machining experience, co-ops, personal projects, and demonstrated industry experience are all valuable. We are ideally looking for someone with 2-5 years of hands-on experience , but proven ability matters more than years on a résumé.
