This is a 1st shift direct hire position.

Duties:
The Lead Machining Specialist is the go-to technical expert on the shop floor, providing support across both CNC milling and turning operations. Help operators and production teams resolve machining, setup, tooling, quality, and production issues as they arise. Assist with bringing new jobs into production, validating processes, and ensuring a smooth transition from programming to manufacturing. Partner with machinists, programmers, supervisors, and engineering personnel to improve workflows and solve day-to-day manufacturing challenges. Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce setup times, increase quality, and eliminate production bottlenecks. Offer practical input on tooling, workholding, fixturing, and manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and consistency. Provide manufacturing expertise during quoting, planning, and project review activities to help ensure successful production outcomes. Investigate recurring production problems, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions that improve overall shop performance.
Background and Experience:
7+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong CNC machining background. Experience supporting both CNC Milling and CNC Turning operations. Ability to troubleshoot machining processes, tooling, fixturing, setups, and production issues. CNC programming experience is preferred but not required. Manufacturing Engineering, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Operational Excellence experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments. Hands-on, practical leader who enjoys being on the production floor and helping teams succeed.
