We are seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer / Designer to join our growing Engineering team. This role is ideal for an experienced fire alarm professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, designing code-compliant systems, collaborating with operations teams, and seeing projects come to life from concept through completion. What You'll Do As a Fire Alarm Engineer / Designer, you will be responsible for designing and supporting fire alarm systems that meet customer requirements and all applicable code and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Design fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA, local codes, and compliance requirements. Develop complete construction drawings, device layouts, riser diagrams, system calculations, battery calculations, and permit packages. Prepare shop drawings and engineering submittals for commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and institutional projects. Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, Service, Installation Teams, Contractors, Architects, and fellow Engineers. Conduct site surveys and evaluate existing conditions to support system design and project execution. Respond to plan review comments and revise designs as necessary. Assist with technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Review project specifications and contract documents to ensure designs meet project requirements. Support design-build opportunities and provide technical expertise during the estimating and sales process. Maintain accurate project documentation and meet established project schedules. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of fire alarm design experience.
