Buckeye Shapeform is

certified, providing general sheet metal fabrication and electronic enclosures to a variety of industries, including audio/video, telecommunications, medical, and transportation. Additionally, Buckeye Shapeform offers precision deep draw metal forming capabilities for mission-critical components used in military and aerospace applications.
Responsibilities include:
Support new product introduction from initial quotation and engineering review through production release. Develop manufacturing cost estimates and quotations based on customer drawings, specifications, quality requirements, materials, tooling, labor, and manufacturing processes. Create Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, drawings, work instructions, and CNC programs required for production. Analyze customer drawings, engineering design documents, models, specifications, and/or prototypes to support product development and determine manufacturing requirements. Determine and recommend manufacturing methods, processes, tooling, jigs, fixtures, equipment, and other resources required to fabricate products. Provide technical direction and clarification to production personnel regarding drawings, specifications, routings, and manufacturing requirements. Provide engineering support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality, tooling, equipment, material, and manufacturing process issues. Support engineering changes and ensure BOMs, routings, drawings, programs, and manufacturing documentation remain current. Evaluate material, tooling, equipment, and outside-processing requirements for new and existing products. Support production process control and continuous improvement activities. Interface with Production, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of relevant education and manufacturing experience. Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Familiarity with manufacturing processes. Strong mechanical aptitude/problem-solving. Experience in 3D modeling CAD (Solid Works, Solid Edge etc.). Ability to work effectively in both an office and production-floor environment. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle a variety of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. Ability and willingness to learn new processes, understand the reasoning and requirements behind them, and apply that knowledge effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. 2+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience, preferably in metal fabrication, sheet metal, stamping, forming, or related processes. Experience in product integration as related to BOMs, Routings or floor travelers. Experience using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Vault. Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes including sheet metal forming, punching, bending, machining, welding, stamping/deep drawing, and mechanical/hydraulic press operations. Experience with CNC programming and CAM software. Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals commonly used in metal fabrication and forming, with an emphasis on sheet metal and extrusions. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T. Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other departments to resolve manufacturing and process-related issues. Full-time salaried position, Monday through Thursday 10-hour days, first shift.
