Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

Wire & Tubing Operations Department:
Engineering Employment Type:
Full-Time Salary Range:

$60,000

•$100,000 annually (Commensurate with experience) The Manufacturing Engineer

•Wire & Tubing Operations role is a full-time engineering position. It focuses on equipment modification, process optimization, and metallurgical integration for refractory metals like tungsten and molybdenum.

Key Responsibilities Equipment Modification & Sourcing:

Design custom tooling, dies, and fixtures for drawing, ribbon rolling, and extrusion.

Process Optimization:

Analyze workflows to increase yield, reduce scrap of expensive alloys, and remove bottlenecks.

Hands-on Mechanical Execution:

Troubleshoot and test shop floor hardware like wire drawing machines and centerless grinders.

Metallurgical Integration:

Adjust speeds and tolerances for specialty alloys.

Project Management:

Manage engineering projects from concept to floor deployment.

Technical Documentation:

Create and maintain layout drawings, tooling prints, and SOPs. Qualifications & Requirements Tier 1

Background:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Science, or Industrial Engineering. Tier 2

Background:

Practical experience as a Senior Machinery Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Tool & Die Maker.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Industry Experience:

Familiarity with fine wire processing, extrusion, or high-performance refractory metals is a major advantage.

Pay:

$60,000.00

•$100,000.00 per year
