Function:
This position is also responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring all employees are properly trained and aware of all possible risks. Lead or participate in accident/incident investigations. Support plant operation utilizing manufacturing best practices, data analysis and problem-solving methods to address operational issues as they pertain to processing, manufacturing of products, changeovers, start-ups and continuous improvement. Assist in the development and implementation of current and future manufacturing technologies and operating platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with operations groups within Coexcell to build lasting operational systems. Work closely with quality to effectively manage process changes, including all required data and documentation Work to develop and design process standards. Support and lead the team through analyzing operations, designing workflows, and improving production processes Ensure procedures or work instructions are up to date and accurate for all blow molding activities. Participate in FMEAs and manage resulting improvement projects Continuously improve the process in the areas of: consistency, quality, cleanliness, and efficiency Work with Process Specialist to ensure documentation of key operational parameters are correct. Assist in prototyping new parts, identifying improvements, documentation Assist in new mold development Identify ways to reduce waste (process, time, quality) Work to develop knowledge base of stockmen, operators, and shift leads with regard to blow molding techniques and parameters.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree Manufacturing experience in blow or injection molding. Must display adequate math, reading and technical skills as required to effectively perform daily duties and functions of the job. Effective problem-solving skills with practical knowledge of problem solving methodologies. Effective interpersonal and electronic media communication skills.
