Job Description Continuous Improvement Engineer Setting/Hours:
100% In-Office | Mon-Fri 7/8a-4/5p Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Monroe, Ohio that's expanding its Manufacturing team. What You'll Do As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, implementing Lean initiatives, and driving sustainable improvements throughout the manufacturing operation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPS methodologies
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and efficiency
- Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, waste analysis, and process evaluations
- Collect and analyze operational data, including cycle time, takt time, throughput, and other key performance indicators
- Develop and implement practical solutions that eliminate waste and improve performance
- Create and maintain standardized work, visual management systems, and 5S programs
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to drive improvements
- Train and mentor employees on Lean principles and continuous improvement tools
- Monitor and sustain improvements through KPI tracking and performance measurement
- Support a manufacturing culture focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or process engineering
- Demonstrated success applying Lean tools in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) principles
- Experience with: Value stream mapping, Time studies, 5S implementation, Standardized work, Visual management, Root cause analysis, Kaizen events
