Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job Duties Lead improvements to operations through manufacturing engineering analysis based on capacity, cost reduction and/or safety. Demonstrate cross-functional project management skills and give input to and development of strategic and capital plans. Prepare project justification including recommendations, build vs buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities. Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation and production start-up. Responsible for the product introduction process with respect to cost estimation, process investigation, schedule development and prototype manufacture. Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations. Provide technical direction, leadership, and develop other Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians. Minimum Qualifications 8-15 years related experience Associate Degree Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED Must have valid driving privileges Occasional travel and overnight stays Preferred Qualifications Certain technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to lead the discussion, meeting, project, etc., and communicate across all levels of the organization. Must be able to lead cross-functional teams, manage medium to large projects, and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. Requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor Process Technicians, Supervisors and others.
