Principal Manufacturing Engineer Posted on April 16, 2025 April 16, 2025 by JMJ Phillip Our client is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Principal Engineer to lead the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment for next-generation photovoltaic (PV) technologies such as CdTe and Perovskites. Based in Perrysburg, Ohio, this role serves as a critical link between R D and high-volume production. While candidates with 8+ years of experience are preferred, individuals with 5-7 years will be considered if they demonstrate strong technical ability, leadership potential, and a passion for advancing clean energy technology. Position Responsibilities Lead process and equipment development for advanced PV manufacturing Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability and performance Partner with R D, Supply Chain, and Reliability teams to scale technologies from lab to production Guide and mentor technical teams to meet project milestones on schedule Leverage data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., JMP) to support decision-making and process optimization Prerequisites 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or R D engineering (5-7 years may be considered for the right candidate) Proven track record of leading cross-functional technical teams Experience in photovoltaic, semiconductor, or related process-intensive industries Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Familiarity with JMP or similar data analysis tools Prior work with PV devices or similar technologies is a plus Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field Master's or Ph.D. preferred but not required What the Role Offers A high-impact position at the forefront of solar technology and innovation A collaborative and fast-paced work environment with opportunities for leadership Access to state-of-the-art tools and facilities within a global solar leader Career growth potential in a mission-driven, sustainability-focused company Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 for the Principal Engineer role Candidates with less experience may be considered for Manufacturing Engineer II/III, with a salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 Why Perrysburg?
