Job Purpose Minimizing supplier quality issues using root cause analysis, implementing temporary solutions and permanent countermeasures to ensure minimal line impact and optimal product quality. Using a regional viewpoint, work with assigned suppliers toward continuous improvement of manufacturing characteristics. Support collaborative problem resolution between Honda Development and Manufacturing of America and suppliers. Key Accountabilities Approve part/process changes for design changes and non-design changes. 15% Approve/confirm Supplier root cause analysis, development of countermeasures and implementation 15% Perform data analysis, prioritize top impact issues and drive supplier characteristic improvement activities 20% Oversee and manage problem-solving analysis and investigations 15% Coordinate supplier countermeasure activities to provide an effective solution 20% Communicate with suppliers and other departments in regard to countermeasures 10% Build technical, Honda Way, and Department knowledge 5% Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Technical Design), 2-year technical degree with equivalent related experience or 6 years of relevant experience if no degree Minimum Experience 0-6 years of experience based on education, preferred at least 1 term as a co-op for Honda or in a similar manufacturing environment. Other Job-Specific Skills Quality assurance, blueprint reading, part measurement, Catia/3D, Microsoft office proficient, negotiation and communication skills. Working Conditions Open Office Environment, walking, sorting parts, limited travel, and overtime possible (Approximately 4 hours of overtime per week).
