Service Manager Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide maintenance service on lift trucks and various material handling equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for changing oil and performing routine preventative maintenance on all Industrial Equipment. Assess and repair damage and mechanical related issues on lift trucks. Provide lift truck maintenance services onsite at customer locations. Communicate professionally while onsite with the customer. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1+ years' experience as a service technician, mechanic or similar position is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical education in automotive, heavy equipment mechanic, or equivalent experience is preferred. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks with great attention to detail. Must have a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds. Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel to work on Industrial Equipment. This position spends most of the day in a warehouse setting. Some travel to customer locations is required, so outside work may be mandatory.
Compensation:
The expected starting hourly range for this role is $23 - $35 per hour. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role.
