We're a small, growing shop dedicated to improving how factory automation projects are delivered—through transparency, quality, and speed—often serving demanding industries like med-tech. If you want real autonomy and to see your work ship, this is your shop. What You'll Do Program PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Automation Direct) Program Motion Controls and Servo Systems (Kinetix, IAI, Festo) Program controls for mechanical automation equipment - industrial and collaborative robots (FANUC, Epson, Universal Robots), machine vision (Keyence, Cognex) Deploy systems at customer facilities and perform service work and commissioning Travel up to 15%, mostly within 250 miles of Columbus, Ohio Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship (required for government project work; green card holders are not eligible for these contracts) Based in or willing to relocate to the Columbus, Ohio area Minimum 1 year of experience with a custom machine builder, or equivalent automation experience. New engineers or computer scientists may be considered if they are able to demonstrate the capability and passion for learning. Proven ability to program and commission PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers on real equipment Robot, motion, and vision programming experience Experience designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuits Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in controls, automation, electrical, mechatronics, or a related field Preferred Qualifications Hands-on programming experience with one or more of our core platforms: FANUC or Epson robots; Keyence vision; Allen-Bradley PLCs B.S. in Mechatronics, Electrical, Robotics/Automation, or a related engineering field 4+ years of experience with a custom machine builder Customer run-off and issue troubleshooting experience Ignition (SCADA) experience Machine vision lighting and lensing setup experience About Us Engineered Vision is a small but rapidly growing custom machine builder specializing in newer technologies—robots, machine vision, and motion control.
