Dexter's El Reno, OK operation powers commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agricultural, and manufactured housing markets with axles, suspension systems, brake solutions, doors, venting products, and towing components. Why this role matters Own CI initiatives that move SQDC metrics in the right direction. Architect processes with value stream mapping, time studies, and line balancing. Engineer ergonomic stations and assembly lines for safer, repeatable outcomes. Set robust labor standards, capacity models, and forecasting inputs to sharpen schedules. Design material flow and internal logistics that eliminate non-value-added motion. Deploy visual controls—kanban, Andon, production boards—for real-time accountability. Lead 8D/A3/FMEA to uncover root causes and lock in corrective actions. Advance robotic welding and optimize weld sequences; influence fixture and tooling. Integrate PLCs, robotics, and IoT to enable smart manufacturing. Use SPC and advanced analytics to track process capability and quality trends. Partner on TPM to maximize uptime and equipment reliability. Embed DFM/DFA with New Product Engineering for new axle/suspension launches. Deliver cost savings in labor, scrap, rework, and utilities. Codify best practices and scale them across regions. How you'll lead Coach plant leaders and supervisors in Lean thinking and application. Facilitate Kaizen workshops and targeted problem-solving events. Measure and communicate OEE, scrap, safety, and cost savings. Unite teams (including union environments) to reduce variation and spread wins. Model Dexter's values: Execute with Determination, Connect with People, Do the Right Thing. What we're looking for BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline. 1-3+ years of manufacturing experience; axle/chassis/suspension/automotive or trailer components are a plus. Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred). Welding savvy (manual/robotic; MIG, TIG, resistance). Proficiency in time studies, labor standards, and plant layout. ERP/MES (Oracle, Plex, SAP) and data analytics capability.
