Job Description
Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use. The company is committed to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. We are seeking a CNV Project Automation Engineer to join our Chief Technology Officer organization. This role will support the development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems across converting operations, with a focus on the CNV project. The position will play a key role in driving efficiency, reliability, and standardization across manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the design and implementation of automation systems for converting lines, automated guided vehicles, and automated warehouse systems Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical requirements and project scope Assist in the integration of PLC, HMI, and control systems within manufacturing operations Troubleshoot automation and control system issues to ensure minimal downtime Support commissioning, start up, and validation of new equipment and systems Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards Support standardization of automation practices across facilities Maintain technical documentation related to automation systems and projects Availability to travel is essential for this position in support of project implementation and operational needs across facilities
