Engineering Technician McAlester, OK | Full-Time | Choctaw Defense Manufacturing Build the Foundation Behind Mission-Critical Manufacturing Are you detail-oriented with a passion for engineering, manufacturing, and technical problem-solving? Join Choctaw Defense Manufacturing as an Engineering Technician , where you'll play a key role in supporting production by interpreting engineering documentation, developing Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring manufacturing data is accurate, complete, and compliant. What You'll Do As an Engineering Technician, you will provide critical support to our Manufacturing Engineering team by ensuring engineering documentation and production data are accurate and production-ready.
Develop, maintain, and input Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the ERP system.
Research and verify military standards and technical specifications.
Support manufacturing engineers by ensuring production documentation is complete and accurate.
Evaluate manufacturing capabilities to ensure contractual requirements can be successfully met.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, engineering standards, and company policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field OR Two (2) years of manufacturing experience supporting engineering or production operations.
Experience using CAD software (such as SolidWorks).Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, and assembly.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Costpoint or other ERP systems.
Department of Defense (DoD) manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with a wide variety of manufacturing tools and processes.
