Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, medication administration, and changes in residents' conditions using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Provide specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care, employing techniques such as aseptic procedures and behavioral health strategies to promote safety and well-being. Support residents during meals, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration while respecting individual dietary needs. Collaborate with nursing staff to document medical records accurately, including medical terminology and physiology-related observations. Maintain infection control standards through proper use of PPE and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or gait belts to promote independence safely. As assisgned. Qualifications Current CNA certification with active state licensure. Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or memory care environments preferred; experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PointClickCare; medical documentation skills essential. Knowledge of vital signs measurement, catheter care, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
